Technology for Housing is a source of information on assistive technology and affordable housing in Oregon and nationally for seniors and people with disabilities.

The purpose of this site is to increase awareness of the role assistive technology can play in improving the home life of seniors, people with disabilities, and their caregivers. We are particularly interested in assistive technology that meets the needs of individuals living in affordable housing for Medicaid recipients.

There is a huge range of assistive technology to help seniors and people with disabilities. Our goal is to help people understand:

• what might be useful for them in their homes,
• how to go about getting it,
• and how the service system can help them.

How Can You Be Involved?

• Talk to members of the Stakeholder Advisory Council who represent your perspective, or contact the project directly.
• Fill out an assistive technology needs and awareness survey.
• Use the resources in the library as they become available. You may find links to answer your questions, or you can let us know about links you think would be useful that aren’t listed.

This web site is being developed by Eugene Research Institute through a project of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, funded by the Oregon Department of Human Services, and in collaboration with Oregon Housing and Community Services.
